Tension has continued to rise in Delta State as some Ogbe-Ijoh youths have allegedly shot dead and beheaded a thirty-four-year old Aladja indigene, Oghuvwu Kingsley. They are also alleged to have abducted a fourteen year old unidentified Igbo girl along the College Road in Aladja community, BLINDWITNESS247 is reporting.

Dozens of women and children were equally injured as the invading youths burnt down several buildings and cars in the community.

The incident BLINDWITNESS247 gathered allegedly happened in the presence of mobile police men on guard at the boundary between the two communities.
While the Ogbe-Ijoh people allegedly attacked Aladja community from one hand, armed Isaba youths from the other end were engaged in an exchange of gun fire with the policemen, BLINDWITNESS247 learnt.

The Aladja community are consequently calling on the Federal and Delta State Governments to as a matter of urgency settle the boundary dispute between them and Ogbe-Ijohs, otherwise they will protect themselves with any means available to them.

Contacted, the Divisional Police Officer of Ovwian/Aladja Police Divisional Headquarters, CSP Dike Albert Uchechi told our reporter that, “I’m under pressure. Even my life is in danger. There is serious tension here. I will talk to you later.”

An indigene of Aladja community, Comrade Ighotegwolor Bezi in a chat with BLINDWITNESS247 appealed to the Delta State Government to come to the rescue of his people and save them from the hands of Ogbe-Ijoh and Isaba people.
